Procounsel is committed to delivering quality consultancy and training services to the Education sector. All of our services are designed to facilitate the development of Emotional Intelligence in staff and (for those involved in schools and colleges) for their pupils and students.
Since 2000 we have offered a range of courses and services for Schools and Colleges which have earned us a reputation as a highly-respected and skilled specialist training provider.
Our popular and successful three-day course in Basic Counselling Skills for Staff working with Children & Young People was launched in 2000, as a direct response to requests from local schools. The course is accredited by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (C.P.C.A.B.) and has to date been attended by staff from over 200 schools throughout the South West, from Hampshire to South Wales and from Gloucestershire to Cornwall.
Building on this success, we now have a growing range of courses and seminars for education as well as further training courses in counselling skills, for those working with young people in schools and allied occupations.
A further exciting development is the creation of a number of services to schools and professionals within other services, offering innovative support systems for staff at all levels, as well as benefiting the organisation as a whole. Please click here for details.
Our training for schools and colleges can help them to establish a positive understanding of the psychological issues influencing the social, behavioural, emotional and intellectual wellbeing and development of their students. Furthermore, our additional services offer the opportunity for staff to focus positively on their own professional and personal skills in order to effectively manage and develop their role as educators, leaders, team members, and individuals.
All of our courses and services can be integrated into a whole school, college or organisational approach to making Emotional Intelligence and Emotional Literacy a core part of the culture, from the governors and senior management team down throughout the whole organisation.
