Work well and feel good! Adding our Services
Positive Insight Mentoring and Coaching are very powerful methods of faciliating change at many different levels. The points given here are to assist with integrating a Positive Insight Coaching or Mentoring Service into your organisation.
1. Is the company or organisation ready for such a programme? Is there an understanding within the senior members of the company or organisation of the need for it to become a "learning organisation"? Is commitment from the top, and in what ways is this commitment visible?
2. Will the culture of the company/organisation support the consultation process? Is the company or organisational culture enabling or inhibiting? (e.g. will the company or organisation encourage and enable the executive/employee to attend sessions as booked?)
3. The broad aims and goals for the coaching or mentoring need to be identified and discussed with us. What are the terms of reference or other guidelines?
4. Any information that will assist us in gaining a perspective of the company or organisation, its vision and working practices, will assist the consultation process.
5. A project manager who has an understanding of the aims and goals of the coaching or mentoring programme and has significant influence within the company or organisation is usually beneficial to integrating the programme within the organisation.
6. Are there specific criteria for selecting staff for the programme? How have individual goals been identified? Are the selection criteria related to individual roles, career progression, or skills deficits? What the company or organisation seeks to develop in each individual needs careful discussion with each staff member and with ourselves.
7. Is there a system for us to give feedback or reports on individual staff progress, whilst maintaining confidentiality? What systems of monitoring and evaluation are to be used?
Mentoring or Coaching programmes can be placed in a context of the company becoming a "learning organisation", as this is at the heart of such developmental relationships.
The programmes can also be integrated with an organisation’s proactive approach to tackling work-related stress, and in line with the recommendations of the Health and Safety Executive detailed in their document “Real Solutions: Real People” (2003).
